Nanotechnology with ancient roots

The origin of Bio-amber

It all started with a question: how did the ancient Maya keep the pigments of their murals, made from insects and plants, from fading for 1,800 years in a humid and hostile climate?

Our researchers identified the resin of a tree that, mixed with certain plant and mineral components, turned out to be incredibly resistant. It is the same resin that, over millions of years, becomes amber.

That research gave rise to bio-amber, now patented: nanoparticles up to 400 times smaller than those in other sealers, which bond to the material at the molecular level.

Quick guide

Seal your surface in 3 steps

  1. CleanRemove dust, grease and efflorescence. If there are white stains, use an efflorescence remover and let it dry for 24 h.
  2. SealApply the sealer with a brush, roller or sprayer in 1 or 2 coats, without puddling.
  3. MaintainClean with water and neutral soap. Reapply depending on wear and exposure.

Frequently asked questions

Will the sealer change the color of my stone?

It depends on the finish you choose. Natural and Pristone are invisible and keep the original tone. Element Satinado, Clear Black and the Black line deepen the color with a wet, satin or matte look. Each product page lists its finish.

How is it different from an acrylic sealer?

Our sealers are penetrating: they soak into the pores instead of forming a plastic film on top. They don’t yellow, crack or peel, and they don’t change the texture of the surface.

How much product do I need?

Every product page has a calculator: enter the square meters and the number of coats and we’ll tell you the liters and the most economical combination of containers. For large projects, ask for a quote on WhatsApp.

Can they be used outdoors and in pools?

Yes. All our sealers protect against moisture, UV rays, mold and efflorescence indoors and outdoors. For submerged areas or constant contact with water we recommend Natural, thanks to its water-repellent effect.

Are they toxic?

No. They are made with bio-amber, are biodegradable and VOC-free, so no special safety equipment is needed to apply them.
